One woman's experience of life in East Africa
Just a few photos of my most recent trip to TZ. On the right is Kelvin, a new little friend, the son of my friend Humphrey. On the left is my Norwegian friend, Beate and her little boy Sebastian. Beate is my friend who organizes and supports the Nkoaranga Village Coffee Cooperative I discussed in a previous posting.

I work with schools in America to help them build approaches to instruction that are of high quality, responsive to student needs, and create a positive learning culture for both students and teachers. I began to travel to Tanzania to work with teachers there two years ago. That teacher project is completed. So, I currently travel to Africa on a regular basis simply because of my love of the country and my concern for both the educational and community development issues that exist there. While my educational work in Tanzania is on hold for now, I am working to support a local village fair-trade farming cooperative, and working with friends to see if we can initiate new projects in support of educational development.
